Life in our 20’s, what a trip.
I think our generation, having gone through 9-11/Bush era at such an impressionable age will be different than the one behind us.
I know, every generation is different, but the kids graduating behind us and behind them, what horrific event has happened in their lives? Their juice box went empty on the day they got their soccer participation trophy?
– They had Angry Birds. We had the Cold War, Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom.
– School shootings are so common it just blends in with the white noise. We had Columbine.
– Space? Do kids even know about that? We had space disasters with the Challenger in ’86, Columbia in ’03.
If 9-11 happened today, it’d be selfie-stick frenzy at ground zero.
It takes horrific events to really grow. The only challenge I see being placed in today’s youth is how they can have their cell phones battery life improved. Is that an open outlet? What’s the Wi-Fi password?
Aw geez, just put me in a rocking chair on my porch while I shake my age spotted hand at kids on their hover boards. Is it time for Wheel?
